At Ininew Project Management,
we know and understand our First Nation clients. In business since 1990, we are
majority owned and operated by three Manitoba First Nations: the Mosakahiken Cree
Nation, the Tataskweyak Cree First Nation and the Chemawawin Cree Nation. Through
this knowledge and unique understanding, we help First Nation clients plan and
implement capital projects that are well-suited to their individual needs and
aspirations.
Not only are we owned by
First Nations, but most of our staff are First Nation or have spent considerable
time living and working in aboriginal communities. Several staff are fluent in
Cree and all understand the unique culture, traditions, challenges and opportunities
of aboriginal people. Few other consulting companies in our field can make that
claim.
Our knowledge of on-reserve
life, and our commitment to affecting lasting change within First Nation communities,
causes us to adopt a consultative and facilitative approach. With help from Ininews
expert professional staff, First Nation clients have built and are managing their
own capital projects and are realizing significant economic and social benefits
as a result.
Our reputation for quality
work and unsurpassed service has allowed us to build strong and ongoing relationships
with clients, and much of our business comes from repeat customers. To date, Ininew
has completed in excess of 200 projects for more than 40 First Nation clients
across Manitoba and into Saskatchewan and Ontario, with an aggregate construction
value of approximately $300 million. The firm has also been hired by private business,
crown corporations and federal government departments to carry out projects ranging
from office renovations to environmental site assessments.
